An autoresponder is an excellent tool for your marketing. It allows you to get information to people without having to write it over and over again. It is a system that sends out prewritten emails at regularly scheduled intervals. Most good autoresponder companies will provide you with a sign-up form that you can put on your website where people can get information from you. An autorepsonder sends out emails to them on a preset schedule. Usually, you will want to send out an immediate welcome email welcoming them to your email list and informing them of what they can expect in the future.
An autoresponder series needs to convey something of value. If your subscribers are just getting "salesy" type emails, they will at some point unsubscribe. The emails need to be jam packed with value, and not too frequent. You can pitch something to them once every three or four emails at the most. the rest of the emails should be giving them something for free, whether it is information or a link to a PDF or video file.
Every email should have your web site in it so your subscribers can be gently reminded to visit the site frequently, and every email should also have a catchy title, or else it will not get opened. Make sure, though, that your titles are not misleading or deceptive. I know of people who make titles that say things like, "Your commission check is ready." Then the people open the email and it says," Imagine getting emails like that every day for real!" Sorry, folks, but that is deceptive and is a let down to your reader. Treat them right, and they will stay loyal subscribers for a long time.
I have written an article on selecting a good autoresponder company. It can be found by CLICKING HERE.
My autoresponder choice is GetResponse. It is friendly, easy to use, inexpensive, and has a great delivery rate. Click below to get a free trial or to get signed up and start your very own autoresponder series.

Many people love using AWeber. They are also an excellent autoresponder company and you would not go wrong if you chose to use them. You can check them out by CLICKING HERE.
Also, there is a free autoresponder service (free for up to 1,000 names and 6,000 total emails per month) called MailChimp. I have not used them, but have heard good things about them. They might be worth checking out. The only caveat I would give is that I do not know if the lists are exportable, so if you built a nice list and then wanted to switch to GetResponse or AWeber, I am not sure how easy that wold be to get your list over to them. If you want to see what they offer, you may CLICK HERE.
